We are a local service to citizens and residents of Talbot County that are looking for outreach and education in many topics relating to agriculture, the Chesapeake Bay, youth programs, gardening, nutrition, health, the environment and more....
Univeristy of Maryland Extension - Talbot County follows the state mission “Solutions In Your Community.” We achieve this mission by providing citizens with consultations, fact sheets, community clubs, workshops, courses and newsletters.

Programs Areas Include:
University of Maryland Extension is a statewide, informal educational system, sponsored jointly by the University of Maryland, College Park, the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, Talbot County Government and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. University of Maryland Extension is administered through the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (AGNR) in College Park. We have access to many of the University of Maryland's resources as well as campuses within the system. Our mission is to educate citizens and help them to apply practical, research-based knowledge to critical issues facing individuals, families, communities, the State and the world. County Extension offices are located in each of Maryland's 23 counties and Baltimore City.
